RIAPP is excited to announce the launch of our first psychodynamic book club. This club will provide an opportunity to explore and contemplate psychoanalytic ideas, share unique perspectives, self-reflect, and build community with other like-minded RIAPP members. While RIAPP is hosting the club, we see it as a co-constructed space rather than one led or facilitated by a single individual.
We will be starting with the book Gender Without Identity by Avgi Saketopoulou and Ann Pellegrini (2023), a contemporary psychoanalytic text exploring transness and queerness.
The book club will meet once a month on the following 3 Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00 PM: October 22nd, November 19th, and December 17th. We ask that those who sign up commit to attending all 3 meetings. Private location in Providence, RI will be shared with those who register.
The group will be limited to 15 members and registration will close once that number is reached or no later than October 15, so make sure to sign up soon if you are interested.
Please note, you must be a 2025-2026 RIAPP member to participate.
