Who We Are

About

Founded in 1993, the Rhode Island Association for Psychoanalytic Psychologies (RIAPP) is a community of psychoanalysts, psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, faculty members, students, and anyone else who is interested in advancing psychoanalytic/psychodynamic knowledge and thought.

From fall to spring, aligning with the academic calendar, RIAPP offers continuing education programming, social events, and opportunities for dialogue.

RIAPP’s mission is to showcase innovative theories and applications, encourage introspection and growth, highlight diverse voices, and promote inclusivity through conscious efforts and ongoing education.

We hope you will join us.

RIAPP is an official chapter of Division of Psychoanalysis (39) of the American Psychological Association
